ISTD Modern Theatre

Teenage beginners are encouraged to start off in ISTD Grade 4 modern and then fast track through to a class of their own age group once they have learnt the basics.

Following on from ISTD Grade 4 the knowledge and skills gained through Grades 4 and 5 provide a base for continued progression through the graded syllabus into Grade 6, or to prepare the candidates for Vocational Grades scuh as Intermediate and Advanced 1. Grade 5 modern incorporates maturity development with a secure technique, increased core stability, weight balance, sufficient lines, also continuing to nurture the students musicality awareness.

 

 

 

UNIFORM

For Grades 4-6 ISTD Modern and Tap, children should wear a red lycra leotard with black stirrup leggings.
